Location. Colombo, Sri Lanka
Work days. Monday to Friday
Work Hours. 8.30 AM to 5.30 PM
Salary. 180,000 +
Other Benefits. Medical Insurance, Fuel Allowance, Vehicle, Commissions, and Other Bonuses.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 - 8 years of experience in a similar role.
- Previous experience in the Tea Exports industry is a must.
- A bachelor’s degree in marketing, economics, business management, or international business is a minimum. MBA is a definite advantage.
- Proven experience in achieving targets.
- Experience in developing and executing marketing strategies to promote sales in overseas territories.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and creative thinking skills.
- Knowledge of data analysis and report writing.
- Ability to communicate clearly and diplomatically, as you will regularly interact with employees and build relationships with clients and customers.
- Extensive planning with an eye to global trends is necessary to connect with a worldwide audience
- As a manager, the ability to effectively manage other professionals is key to maximizing team performance and cohesion.
Job Duties
- Analyze and monitor the given markets & carry out market research on chosen export markets.
- Obtaining reports of global trends and competitor activities to improve market information available.
- Collecting and analyzing data on customer demographics, preferences, needs, and buying habits.
- Identifying, developing, and evaluating marketing strategy.
- Developing pricing strategies.
- Secure new orders with secure payment terms according to the company’s parameters
- Develop strong relationships with new customers and old customers (allowed by the company).
- Revive lost business.
- Achieve new sales for proprietary brands in given markets.
- Attend to all inquiries related to the given portfolio.
- Assist in sales and distribution plans according to customer requirements in markets.
- Develop promotional plans for the brand in consultation with the client according to the specific market.
- Execute marketing efforts, plan customer visits, and participate in trade fairs within an approved budget, with the host country's business partner or independently.
- Measuring the effectiveness of marketing, advertising, and communications programs and strategies.
- Working with the team and guiding them to develop suitable marketing material for an international audience.
- Work closely with departments to ensure a smooth process of order delivery and payments.
- Effectively manage the marketing budgets across all markets and product lines.
- Follow up on ‘works in progress and projects.
- Attending staff conferences to provide management with information concerning the regulations, promotion, distribution, and design.
