Principal Responsibility
Provide expertise and knowledge of the key business systems, especially IFS ERP, particularly about the technical configuration and customisation of IFS. Work with the wider Business Systems Team to develop those systems and when needed, provide excellent support to the users.
Technical Skills Required
An excellent knowledge of IFS, technical configuration and customisation.
The Business Systems Developer will be assisting an existing IFS programme and will be able to demonstrate a solid understanding of IFS database structures and conventions, in addition to working experience with Oracle generally and writing IAL's (Information Access Layers) in addition to database functions.
Supporting and maintain our existing in-house developments and databases.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Administering, Configuring, Monitoring and Managing IFS Application
· Supporting the Disaster Recovery Process
· Support and develop the key business systems, including the IFS suite which is pivotal to the success of the business
· Create enhancements, implement new features as well as create reports which includes developing Custom Objects, events and customising the application to support the business needs.
· Be able to understand business operations and how business systems can be best utilised within it.
· Interpret business need and be able to implement systems solutions to meet its requirements.
· Complete comprehensive documentation to a high standard including specifications, customer specific process guides and training documentation.
· Support users in the business functional areas through an established Service Desk, concentrating on incident logging, problem resolution and recording corrective actions taken.
· Information extraction and report compiling.
· Support Application and system testing, document process and application functionality and create and maintain user manuals.
· Contribute to feasibility studies for functional and technical enhancements to the existing application and help to implement chosen solution improvements, including system upgrades.
Key Relationships
You will act as an interface between the Business Systems Team and the wider business in the following ways:
· Work closely with Business stakeholders to understand the business requirements, to perform functional analysis and help to translate them into functional and application requirements.
· Interact with business system application specialists and colleagues to coordinate and support the business systems.
· Support business critical initiatives in line with company's strategy
Qualifications and Skills Requirement
· Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
· Background in IFS business processes, IFS business system or IFS development.
· Excellent knowledge in PL-SQL.
· IFS Data Migration
· IFS Admin tool/ Solution manager
· IFS security
· IFS Custom Objects development
· Deployment of IFS bug releases
· Basic DBA skills on Oracle databases.
· Experience in Crystal reports development
· Experience in Power BI and Novacura.
· Good understanding of industrial/commercial business processes
· Team-Player mentality acting as a part of a team with excellent interpersonal skills
· Self-motivated with ability to coordinate project tasks and report status/progress
· Ability to work independently based on defined objectives with minimal supervision
· Strong analytical and conceptual skill
