Assistant Production Manager - Foam Rubber  

         

Job Location. Piliyandala & Horana (Factory)

Work Days. 6 Days Per Week (9 Hour Shift Per Day)

Salary. 80,000 LKR - 150,000 LKR + Benefits

Fuel Allowance/Travel Allowance. Yes

Qualifications Required

• Bachelor's or associate degree, with course work in production management, operations management, or similar.
• Previous 5 + years’ experience working in a related to Foam Rubber industry preferred.
• Ability to supervise production teams confidently and proactively.
• Exceptional analytical ability toward solving production-related concerns.
• Knowledge of procuring materials, equipment, and labor needed throughout the production process.
• Proficiency in quality control, managing budgets, and production costing.
• Competence with computer-based administration, record-keeping, and procurement systems.
• Ability to work independently, and as part of a production team.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills toward managing human resources.
• Availability to work extended hours to meet deadlines, when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily activities of factory operations.
• Responsible for assisting in coordinating and monitoring the facility to meet requirements.
• Ensure factory activities are performed in the most effective and productive manner.
• Assisting administrative tasks like production schedules and timesheets.
• Ensuring that production is completed before deadlines.
• Lead and direct the production team to achieve operational goals in quality.
• Maintaining the Company’s plant, machinery, building, and associated facilities.
• Prepares equipment for periodic inspections where required under statutory requirements.
• Monitoring the efficiency of production equipment.
• An understanding of Quality, Engineering Systems, Demand and Supply Planning processes, and impact of the factory on the Supply Chain, and Lean Thinking.
• Ensure smooth operations by effectively managing and monitoring relations within the Employee population and Industrial Relations. Build and maintain positive community relations through active engagement.
• Ensure adherence to all Company principles and policies as well as local laws and regulations. Ensure compliance to health, food safety, and regulatory requirements of all products manufactured.
