Python Developer  

         

Responsibilities:
• Write clean, well designed code, in a timely and scalable way that improves the codebase of our products in meaningful ways.
• Understand gathered requirements and provide a clean and scalable solution.
• Troubleshoot, test, and maintain the core product software and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality.
• Ability to work during UK time zone working hours.

Skills and Qualifications:
• A Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant field is a must.
• Minimum of 3-5 years industrial exposure in Python development.
• Developed ETL jobs from popular Python frameworks (i.e., Pandas, PETL) as per requirements to update data into a database from various data sources.
• Worked on memory management and optimization.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and JavaScript SPAs)
• Experience with any Relational Databases (SQL (PL/SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle)
• Experience with source code control systems like Git/TFS/DevOps
• Experience with Unix/Linux and Windows environments.
• Ability to function independently in a small, agile team.
• Experience in Finance, Asset Management, or Investment related applications would be an added advantage.
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, excellent analytical skills, excellent decision-making skills, strong organizational and time management skills, strong lateral thinking skills and good presentation skills.
