Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline such as Human Resources, Social Sciences, Administration, etc.

Experience

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in HR management at a senior level in the private sector / shipping / freight forwarding industry.

Proven track record in managing and delivering a full spectrum of HR services.

Success in talent management and retention in a commercial business environment.

Proven track record in performance management.

The ideal candidate must be process-oriented, highly organized and a team player.

The person must also have excellent communication skills – both written and oral, analytical skills and commercial understanding and computer literacy especially in Microsoft Office with the ability to learn new applications.



Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Managing Director the successful person will among other things be responsible for the following key areas: –

Development of human resources strategies in line with corporate goals and objectives

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition/management – identification of competencies, multi-skilling, succession planning and retention strategies

Performance management for optimal productivity in line with corporate goals and objectives

Liability Management – monitor employment decisions, and consider all laws, policies, and consistent practices, review such decisions from all labour legal angles and keep the com-pany out of legal trouble

Learning and capacity development – with focus on on-line training approach

Labour relations management in compliance with labour legislations

Staff budget preparation in line human resources strategies
